Fun Events in San Diego for Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving in San Diego is more than just a turkey dinner. With year-round beautiful weather, there are many fun things to get out and enjoy on Thanksgiving that include the community, family and friends, and charitable organizations. Check out these Thanksgiving activities in San Diego: Father Joe’s Thanksgiving 5K run and walk is from 7am to 10am at Balboa Park. It finishes at St. Vincent de Paul Village, the largest homeless charity in San Diego. Pets, strollers, and wheelchairs are welcome along with corporate groups and teams. The Oceanside Turkey Trot takes place, starting at 7am at Oceanside Pier. Thanksgiving costumes are encouraged. The event includes a 5k run or walk as well as a kids’ one-mile fun run. Coronado is having a 5K turkey trot as well as Fallbrook. The Running of the Turkey 10K Trail Run takes places on the North County coast while inland in the North County there is the Annual 5K and 10K as well as Kids’ Run. In Downtown San Diego, there is the San Diego Run for the Hungry 5K and 10K while the South Bay area features the 15K, 10K, and 5K Turkey Trot and Food Drive. In East County, there is the Waddle & Trot 5K and Kids’ Fun Run. There are so many ways to burn off those extra calories you plan to consume plus help out those in need in your local San Diego communities. Fun November Events in San Diego

While Thanksgiving is the focal point of November celebrations, there are other fun-filled and festive events that take place in San Diego this month that are worth taking in and offer something for every member of the family. Here are two of our favorite November events in San Diego. 11th Annual San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival This favorite event brings together wine and food enthusiasts over the course of five days, starting on November 17th and ending on November 23rd. It has become the region’s largest wine and culinary extravaganza. Each year it grows as more venues are added throughout the San Diego downtown area. Some of this year’s highlights include the following: Comer Conmigo: Dinner. Tequila. Wine. This is an upscale six-course dinner at Comun Kitchen & Tavern from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. that is November 17th. Tickets are $175 per person. The Fish Taco TKO & San Diego Craft Beers On November 18th, this casual event will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens in Liberty Station. Tickets are $45 per person. 100 Years of Inspiration & Innovation: Trailblazing Cuisine Throughout The Century This event on November 19th will feature 10 courses paired with craft cocktails and wine, too. It will be held at the famous U.S. Grant Hotel in downtown San Diego. The exclusive event will be for only 24 guests, and tickets are $250 per person.
