We're so excited to tell you that locally grown lilacs and peonies are now available in our San Diego flower shops! It's that time of year where we can offer San Diego lilacs and San Diego peonies from our local San Diego flower farm partners. Just think, when you buy these floral beauties, you are not only supporting a San Diego florist, but you are also supporting another locally owned San Diego business. And, for that, we say, thank you! In return, you get to enjoy some of the most beautiful flowers available. However, the peony and lilac season is not as long as some of our other beautiful flower choices, so you will want to get them while you can. In fact, June is the peak season for peonies. Lilacs are around for about the same time period. Now is the time to embrace the delicate beauty of both peonies and lilacs. They make thoughtful gifts for graduation, birthdays, get-well gifts, and more. These flowers also add a splash of color to your own home, offering cheerful messages to brighten our days. We offer many choices of floral designs that feature lilacs or peonies on their own as well as combined with other complementary flower types, including hydrangea and orchids, as well as a range of greenery accents. June is a special month for many reasons. It's the start of summer and wedding season. It's the end of school for the year. And, it's full of events and special occasions. Peonies One of the reasons we love June so much is that local peonies are in season. And, since it's such a limited bloom season, we like to recommend that our customers use them for any and all occasions. Here are some examples of the types of peony flower arrangements we offer at our San Diego flower shops: PEONY LUXE Pink peonies and pink roses are arranged with garden hydrangea and other seasonal flowers in a gem-lined glass vase. SAN DIEGO PEONIES This peony floral display offers a wide array of gorgeous blooms. There are pink and white peonies along with pink calla lilies and green hydrangea in a white glass vase. PERFECT PEONIES This is a simple and sophisticated floral bouquet of pink peonies. Based on availability, we may have to offer another color due to the high demand during their short blooming season. PEONY PLEASURE This beautiful floral arrangement features pink and white peonies as well as dusty miller. Flowers That Empower Also, during this time and going forward, we have started something called Flowers That Empower that we are very proud of. This is a new philanthropic initiative that is part of our ongoing mission to help others in our community and across numerous non-profit organizations. For example, we recently handed out flower arrangements to every patient on the third floor of the UCSD Thornton/Jacobs Hospital's cancer center. Each month, we’ll feature a seasonal arrangement.
