Celebrate Creativity on Floral Design Day

There is so much to be said for creativity and what it can do to lift spirits, motivate people, and create joy. One group of artists that we celebrate each year are floral designers. Our floral designers are everything to us here in San Diego. We love them and what they do so much because we see what they are able to do for the recipients of their artwork. About Floral Design Day Floral Design Day was created by Carl Rittner, the founder of the Rittners School of Floral Design in Boston. He was considered to be a pioneer in floral art education. While he started the initiative, it was Governor William Weld of Massachusetts that created the day in 1995. National Floral Design Day was then established on February 28th as a way to recognize the art of floral design and appreciate its history. Across cultures and time, floral design has been considered to be an important cultural art form. Celebrating Floral Design Day In celebrating it, our San Diego flower shops recognize and reward our floral design teams. We appreciate that many customers also drop by or send messages to our floral designers, too, not to mention come by for a bouquet or order online. We can also celebrate Floral Design Day through painting, planting flowers, using floral motifs in textiles or other mediums, and creating a bouquet. It may even involve taking a floral design class to understand the depth of artistry that goes into this craft. You can also use social media to share awareness about Floral Design Day, including using the hashtag, #FloralDesignDay, and sharing your favorite floral design pictures. Celebrating Our San Diego Floral Designers on Floral Design Day

Wednesday, February 28th is Floral Design Day. This special day dedicated to flower design and floral education was created to commemorate the birthday of Carl Rittner. He was the founder of the Rittners School of Floral Design in Boston and was considered the pioneer in floral art education. In 1995, Governor William F. Weld of Massachusetts, proclaimed every February 28th as Floral Design Day. And, that's what we plan to do in each of our San Diego flower shops. We honor our amazing floral designers and teams that put together the many extraordinary bouquets, flower arrangements, floral centerpieces and more that make us San Diego's favorite flower shop. This includes our locations in San Diego, El Cajon, and La Mesa. Whether it is a wedding or special event or it's a custom flower arrangement for a special occasion, our floral design team goes to work to design something unique and that especially matches what our customers want. They also pay close attention to budgets, offering the best value and presentation for the price. Some of the floral designs our team is especially proud of includes:  GARDEN WHIMSY This garden floral design features antique hydrangea, burgundy cymbidium orchids, green ball dianthus, thistle, and seasonal flowers. It also contains many types of succulents. Everything is arranged in a wood box. WOODLAND SPLENDOR This rustic floral display comes with cymbidium orchids, jade green roses, hydrangea and dianthus. There are also other premium flowers along with driftwood displayed within a wooden box. PACIFIC BEACH PERFECTION Named after one of our most treasured beaches in San Diego, this flower arrangement showcases cayenne roses, hydrangea, orchids, and greenery. Come see what our floral designers can do for you this Floral Design Day or any other day where you have a special gift or event or [...]
