The signs that spring is on its way are brighter mornings and longer days along with more sunshine and the start of warm weather. To kick of the spring celebration, Plant a Flower Day is Saturday, March 20th. This is a chance to give something back to nature whether it is your own yard or a San Diego community garden. Sunday, March 13th is the start of daylight savings time followed by the official start to spring on Sunday, March 20th. With so much going on around spring, it’s the perfect time to enjoy some spring flowers of your own or to give them as a gift to a friend or family member. We are excited that one of our favorite spring flowers – lilacs – have arrived in our San Diego flower shops via our flower farm partner in nearby Julian, California.
