Small business is the engine of our economy, and it's never been more important than this year to support small businesses as the pandemic continues to adversely impact all types of small businesses throughout San Diego, California, and the country. We appreciate the continued support of our customers throughout this year and situation. You have been a critical factor in our ability to stay open and continue doing what we love. For that, we are so grateful and count it as a blessing for this Thanksgiving and holiday season. Every year, we participate in what's become known as Small Business Saturday, which falls just after Black Friday. This year is no exception although it will not look the same. This year's Small Business Saturday event is November 28th. Businesses all over San Diego will participate and offer great deals and unique products, which make us stand out compared to the big box brand shops you could go to. Think Pink During Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness across the country and in San Diego. It's a month dedicated to raising awareness and funds to help more people be aware of getting mammograms and doing more to help stop breast cancer. In the past, San Diego has been the home to many fundraisers and Breast Cancer Awareness events. However, due to COVID-19, many events have been cancelled this year. This includes many runs/walks as well as ceremonies. However, others are carrying on in a virtual format. For example, the Susan G. Komen Foundation of San Diego is hosting a virtual event on November 1st. Doing it virtually is intended to keep awareness going as well as continue to raise money for this important cause. What You Can Do Outside of external events throughout San Diego, you may know someone fighting breast cancer or who has survived it. You can do many things to raise awareness about breast cancer on your own without these organized events. Here are some ideas to get you started: Change your social media profile to add a breast cancer awareness sticker or frame. Share information about breast cancer survival and early detection measures.
