Make Fresh Cut Flowers Last Longer to Brighten Your Personal Space

Flowers bring the beauty of nature indoors and provide an affordable way to change up your décor and brighten a personal space whether it is an apartment or house. Indoor or outdoor spaces can benefit from the addition of fresh cut flowers. And, the better you care for them, the longer these flowers will last as décor. Here are some great tips to follow: Pick a Great Source for Fresh Cut Flowers While there are some cheap online sites for flowers, the old adage of “you get what you pay for” applies as most of these flowers are not fresh and sometimes are even dead on arrival. Pick a source that you know you can trust for freshness and that guarantees that level of quality whether you come and pick them up or you have them delivered. Starting out with the freshest flowers gives you a better chance of enjoying them for as long as possible.  Feed, Water, and Clean Then it’s up to you to feed, water, and clean them regularly. When you bring them home, you will want to make sure you have flower food that dissolves in the water. This helps nourish the flowers while also reducing the risk of bacteria. Water is important. Try to refill the vase or container as often as possible. Don’t just top up the water. Start fresh every time. This also reduces the chances of bacterial growth. Clean the vase and container as well to make sure the flowers have the freshest and cleanest environment possible. Consider the Season While you will be selecting from seasonal flowers, think about the temperature and brightness in your home. You will want to make sure that the temperature is comfortable for the flowers. Also keep [...]

4th of July Celebrations in San Diego

One of our favorite summer holidays is the 4th of July because there are so many city celebrations with fireworks and festivities to ignite the patriotism in all of us plus there are many picnics and barbecues that bring friends, family, and neighbors together. This is also a very important holiday for us because it reminds us of how hard our ancestors fought for their independence and freedom.  The fireworks and the celebrations are one way to remind us of what we have in this country and how grateful we are to enjoy such freedoms. San Diego Fireworks Displays and 4th of July Fun Many events are being held throughout Sand Diego County, including the city, Coronado, North County coastal and inland, East County and South Bay.
