Veteran’s Day is Tuesday, November 11th, and the city of San Diego will be celebrating our Vets with a special Veteran’s Day parade from 11am to 1pm that day. Sponsored by the USS Midway Museum and USAA, the parade is produced by the “Veterans Week San Diego”, which is an all-volunteer team of Veterans and citizens of all ages who are dedicated to honoring Veterans annually during “Veterans Week” as a program event of the Veterans Memorial Center. 
The parade route starts at North Harbor Drive and carries on through the downtown area and then passes the USS Midway and continues to Pacific Highway where it will end. There will be grandstands available and many viewing areas.
This year’s theme pays tribute to Afghanistan and Iraq veterans who have served during the war years of 2001 to 2014. They are all invited to join the parade and festivities this year.
There are numerous other Veteran’s Day events planned throughout San Diego County to participate in and show respect for our veterans. Besides the many events, there will also be restaurants offering free meals and discounts to Vets throughout San Diego.
